AGARTALA, August 19 (TIWN): Resentment has been brewing among the employees as well as the common people against the govt. for not adopting the teacher transfer policy in the state. As a result, the town areas schools are provided with a large number of teachers, whereas the schools of rural areas are deprived from a good number of teachers. Thus students of those schools are far way to get quality education.

However, it has been claimed that due to the interference of few political organizations, State Education dept. is failed to launch the policy of teacher transfer. Transfer-Policy is being hampered with the pressure of few the “HOGOBO” members.

But whatever the claim may be, the reality is that since many years, there can be found a huge difference between the numbers of teachers in rural areas as well as in town areas. In many schools teachers are found to working from 20 to 25 years continuously.

Many teachers are working in places like Raishya Bari, Ganganagar, Longtarai Valley, Kanchanpur, Takarjala, Hejamara, Padmabil, Champahaur, Baramura Atharomura, Korbook since many years, but they are also being deprived for getting transfer to a better place.

Employees are anyhow fed up with the “non-policy” attitude of the govt. and as a result not only the employees but also the students of the rural areas are deprived from the basic standards of Education, in the age of Right to Education.

Improvident of teachers lead few schools full of teachers and has left many schools almost empty. Govt. would take steps to improve the quality of education in state and maintain few basic policies for the betterment of education system here.
