AGARTALA, August 18 (TIWN): Governor Tathagata Roy on Monday meets a team of Midbrain Activation Academy and Aloha School at Raj Bhawan, confirmed an official here on Tuesday.

The students of 5 to 15 years of age assembled at the Darbar hall of the Raj Bhawan and demonstrated their skill in front Governor Tathagata Roy.

Governor Tathagata Roy has invigilated the skills of the students of Aloha when the students were solving the mathematics without taking the help of calculator or figure counting.

At the end of the programme, Governor expressed delight over the coming of the students at the Bhawan. He further suggested to encourage the students for different kind of sport along with education.

Besides, there were students who were solving the mathematic in no time which not possible without proper guidance or knowing some special tricks to solve the mathematics.

The students Midbrain Activation Academy has demonstrated their skills of doing things blindfolded. They have demonstrated the skills of understanding which thing are of what colour, to paint and also to point out the area where the painting has been deleted, being blind folded.

Further, the children can also point out that which marker has been used to paint the object.

‘Midbrain activation’ is a training programme to equip children to sense visual properties without actually seeing them, though science educators and rationalists dub them as a pseudo-science meant to take gullible parents for a ride, said owner of Midbrain Activation Academy Ranabir Roy.

He further said these children are the future of the state and we must support them to brighten their future.

The Midbrain Activation academy has been offering the programme are enticing parents by claiming that it will improve memory, concentration, and intuition of children by stimulating some parts of the brain.

The brain will be so awakened, they claim, that the children will be equipped to read and see even while they are blindfolded.

Science promoters and rationalists counter it saying that it is nothing but a bid to hoodwink parents who want their children to be geniuses.
