AGARTALA, August 7 (TIWN): Governor Tathagata Roy on Thursday laid the foundation stone of Keshab Hostel with the initiatives of the Dr. Hedgewar Smarak Samiti at Old Agartala Champahour, said an official here on Friday.
Addressing the programme, Governor Tathagata Roy expressed his delight for being part of this programme.
He further wished that the hostel will highly benefit the students and will support the students to build good character.
He also called upon the students to work with diligence and strive hard for achieving excellence.
Hoping that one day they can catch up with their counterparts elsewhere in the country and make the people of this state proud.
Appreciating the Samiti, Governor recalled the invaluable contribution of the members of the committee towards its all-round development.
He also said that at a time when there was lack of facilities, such people toiled hard and created hostel for the benefits of the student.
During the programme, Secretary of the Dr. Hedgewar Smarak Samiti Haradhan Paul, President of the programme Nripen Roy and others were present.
To mark the day, Governor Tathagata Roy has plant saplings at the premises of the building.
