AGARTALA, July 30(TIWN): In a bizarre incident, the Panchayat leaders, the gram pradhan’s and the local leaders have threatened a rape victim of Sekerkot Chamapamura area to remain silent and not to register any complaint against the rape accused.

Recently, a house wife of Sekerkot Chamapamura area has lodged a complaint against with the Bisalgarh women police station against a hawker Shiv sankar Acharjee in allegation of raping her.

It is to be mention here that recently, a hawker has entered the house of the victim and molested her. Taking the advantage of the empty house the hawker intruded in the house of the victim and raped her. However, getting alarm the lolcalites along with two children of the victim rushed to the house and managed to rescue her from the from the hand of the culprit.

However, the accused Shiv sankar Acharjee managed to escape from the spot.

Later, with the support from her husband she managed to lodge complain with the Bisalgarh women police station.

Getting alarm, the Village pradhan, pachayat leaders along with all other local leaders threatened her to remain silent and no to register any complaint.

The Panchayat leaders further threaten if she complains this issue to anyone she will be thrown out of the village.

Apart from supporting the rape victim, the leaders are threatening the victim to remain silent.
