Students pay last tribute to Kalam

AGARTALA, July 29 (TIWN): Nation has still not come out from the sudden demise of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, who passed away while giving a speech at IIM-Shillong, and to pay the last tribute, students at Agartala paid their last tribute to the missile man of India on Wednesday at their respective school grounds.

Schools and colleges across the city paid tribute to the former president of India and Bharat Ratna Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on Wednesday by holding prayer meets and special services to honor his memory.  In the loving memory people’s president A.P.J Abdul Kalam, students of Don Bosco and all other schools paid floral tribute to kalam’s photo. 

Schools held prayer services during the assembly and also observed silence for two minutes. As a mark of respect the school observed a special two minutes silence during the Morning Prayer, pay homage to the great personality. A similar procedure was extended by the NSUI outside Gandhi school.

Condolence meetings were held in all the schools. The students and teachers paid tributes to the former President in the school.

It is to be mention here that former President A. P. J Abdul Kalam, the ‘missile man’ who became popular as ‘People’s President’ died today after he suffered a massive cardiac arrest and collapsed during a lecture at the IIM on Monday evening.

Kalam, who would have turned 84 in October, was confirmed dead more than two hours after he was wheeled into the ICU of Bethany hospital in a critical condition following the collapse at around 6.30 pm.

According to reports, Kalam suffered a massive cardiac arrest during the lecture at IIM, Shillong.

It is a great loss not only for India but also for the entire world as APJ Abdul Kalam was a great scientist. Up to the end he was very lively and was always keen for the development of the nation. It is also a great loss to the entire mankind.
