Initiatives taken but no development in education system

AGARTALA, July 29 (TIWN): In order to create awareness about Malaria and other waterborne diseases at the Gomati District, announcement and health camp will be organized in different area of the district, informed a representatives of the Health Department in a meeting related to Education and Health on July 28.

With an initiative to control the spread of Malaria in the district, in the month of August it is expected to organize health campaign 10 schools.

He also informed that the course of spraying DDT is going on the Malaria vulnerable area of the district.

During the meeting, the representatives have discussed about the Education, Health, Science and other important topics.

The Representative of the Education Department informed that works in Killa, Chechuya and Baidyabari Model School are in progress. The construction works of new building under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan in 19 schools are at the edge of completion.

With the sanctioned fund under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, construction works of buildings in 12 schools are in progress. Further, the construction work will be started in 6 more schools.

However, where the state government has been taking so many initiatives to develop the education in the state, there are schools in the interior of the state where there are shortage of teachers due to which the students are not getting proper education. Students of different classes had to adjust in single room to gain education.

Even here are some schools whose roofs are being blown away in heavy storm but the concern authority has turned blind on the pathetic conditions of the school.

Therefore, the students lack their basic education which becomes blockage in their coming future.

It is worthy to mention that despite the fact that the departments are conducting meet to discuss on the various issues of education and health, till day there are schools in the interior parts of the state which lacks keen eyes. As a result the students are deprived from their basic rights of education.
