KAMALPUR, July 29 (TIWN): The World Hepatitis Day was observed duly at Kamalpur along with the entire state today. Mainly in the initiative of Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura, Kamalpur branch the Day was observed through rally and discussion. Many students, teachers, political representatives and health workers participated in the programme.
This morning the rally started from BSM Hospital Kamalpur. In this rally SDMO Dr. Narayan Pal, AASHA workers, Nagar Panchayat Vice Chairperson Birendra Pal and other councilors and students and teachers of different schools participated.
After the rally, an awareness discussion was organized near Nagar Panchayat office. Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura, Kamalpur branch authority Uttam Basu expressed his sincere thanks to all for making the celebration a success.
However, no other doctor or nurse was seen in the rally but the SDMO. The reluctance of the health workers put big question mark in their sincerity to combat such a menace.
Moreover, the students who participated in the rally also fled away awkwardly from the rally disobeying their teachers in the mid way. The students also not found interested enough to know about the menace. This created question mark on the discipline of the schools and the control of the teachers on their students.
