AGARTALA, July 28 (TIWN): In a maiden approach, to speed up the court proceedings, Tripura to launch its first video conferencing system to connect in 3 jails with the courts of Tripura soon.

As a part of the preliminary approach, 3 jails to be connected with video conferencing system including Bisalgarh Central Jail, Udaipur and Kailsahar jail.

According to the sources of the state law department, these three are jails to be connected with Agartala, Udaipur and kailsahar session court through Video conferencing.

Courts to find Success with Video Conferencing. By connecting judges, defendants, interpreters and law enforcement, video conferencing to expedite court proceedings and lowers costs.

Video conference will create a live connection between people in separate locations for the purpose of communication, usually involving audio and often text as well as video.

From now on, the accused can be questioned in jail itself by the Judge from the court room through video conferencing.

And the lawyers can now interrogate the accused in the jail itself through video conferencing.

If the system of video conferencing is launched there will be no question of dragging the accused to the courts with risky security measures. The accused, justice and the lawyers will be connected through a channel of video conference aiming at speeding up the court proceedings.
