AGARTALA, July 28 (TIWN): After one month of duration, when the 11-point charter of Demands placed on June 26 are not fulfilled, Tripura Government Employees’ Federation decided to conduct a meeting on Sunday next to discuss about the next course of their democratic agitation.
Launching attack on the state government TGEF general secretary Samar Roy said that under the left rule the state government employees are suffering due to less salary. The employees are deprived from the salary on which they have the right to claim.
After one month of duration the state government has not fulfilled a single demand of the employees.
He further said that compare to Tripura the other states of the country along with the increase in the salary, the state government are also enjoying the other benefits launched by the Government.
The federation also blamed that every month the state government employees are getting Rs. 5000 to Rs. 10,000 less salary.
Therefore, the federation has decided to launch a greater protest compare to the earlier one. The greater protest will continue till the demands are fulfilled. They said that on June 26, a team of representative of the federation met with Chief Secretary of Secretariat and forwarded the memorandum.
The memorandum contained 11-point charter of Demands where it has been mentioned to fulfil the demands in one month of duration and if by July 16 it has not been fulfilled then the federation will be bound to stage a greater protest.
However, the federation will conduct a meeting on Sunday next and will finalize the next course of their democratic agitation.
