KAILASAHAR, July 28 (TIWN): Concluding the two day long state level women cultural festival at Kailashahar Town Hall, Agartala Municipal Corporation Councilor Phoolon Bhattacherjee urged for women empowerment through improved women education.
It is to be mention here that Social Welfare & Social Education Minister Bijita Nath inaugurated the women festival and said that the women are still fighting for their rights. The women will further continue their fight for equal rights.
Speaking at the conclusion program, the dignitaries said crime against women can be curbed only when the women will be much more alert and will raise voice against the crime done on them.
However, a total of 150 artists participated in the program.
The fest included singing and various stage events like street play, dancing and poetry. Women from the different district participated in the fest and have shown their talents. Culture is the manifestation of the people. It is the man made part of the environment. Culture binds the people, it brings people together and it represents the lifestyle of the people and to revive the culture, ICA has organized this women based cultural fest at Kailsahar.
However, the two day festival ended with discussion of role and empowerment of women in the society.
