KAILASHAHAR, July 28 (TIWN): Demanding to recreate the list of the beneficiaries under the Food Security Bill which guarantee 5 kg of rice to all beneficiaries at a uniform price of Rs 3/kg, Kailashahar Congress Block Committee on Monday placed 14-point charter of demands to the Chief Executive Officer of Kailashahar Municipal Council Animesh Dhar. The committee said that in the list only the name of the CPM supporters have been mentioned.

They said that in the list there are names who do not come under the category based on which they can get the benefits. PCC member Rudrendra Bhattacharjee said that when they have pointed out the issue in front of the Chief Executive Officer of Kailashahar Municipal Council Animesh Dhar at first he denied at one go but later finding himself into a trap of questions he accepted the fact.

Later, He assured to look in to the matter and will conduction the survey again so that the genuine beneficiaries get the opportunity to enjoy the benefits. Under Tripura Urban Employment Programme 150 days should be given and the wage should be increased to Rs. 200.

However, the committee also demanded that only the genuine beneficiaries be listed for houses which will be built soon under Rajiv Gandhi Abaas Yojna. They said that the poor and needy people should be avail with the sanitation under Swach Bharat Mission.

They further demanded for an underground water tank so that in any emergency time the locals can utilize the stored water. Besides, they have demanded for drainage system in every ward of the Municipal Council area.

Further, they demanded to stop the dumping ground at Kalipura and to arrange a land for poor people who are illegally residing at the Government land.

However, if the demands are not fulfilled by one month then they will be bound to take a next course of demonstration.
