AGARTALA, July 27(TIWN): 2nd “Physio Forced” National level Physiotherapy conference is scheduled to be held on August 8 and 9 at Agartala, said Indian Association of Physiotherapist (IAP) secretary Dr. Sabhyasachi Chowdhury in a press conference organized by IAP and Physiotherapist Forum of Tripura (PFT) at press club on Monday.

The 2nd “Physio Forced” National level Physiotherapy conference will be attended by delegates of AIIMS, New Delhi, president and general secretary of IAP.

The meeting mainly discussed on the modification required in the recruitment policy declared by state government.

After long 10-12 years government of Tripura has declared the post of physiotherapist in Tripura health service and it is a major milestone in the history of IAP, said IAP secretary Dr. Sabhyasachi Chowdhury.

Speaking at the meeting Secretary Chowdhury further said that some major modifications are required in the recruitment process and as well as on the pay structure and grade of the post. Modification is to be done as per the recruitment rule (RR) of the health and family welfare.

IAP members said that present eligible criteria and job status of the Physiotherapy vacancy in Tripura Health service says qualification criteria for the job is  class XII in any stream which is to be class XII in science only, Professional qualification should be only Degree not diploma, Grade should be Group-B Gazette like Government of Nagaland, Gujrat, Delhi, NCR, Tamil Nadu etc and the pay scale should be as per the norms of the Group-B gazette rank as per the modification of recruitment rule (RR) of the health and family welfare.  

However, IAP Secretary Dr. Sabhyasachi Chowdhury, President Subrajit Das along with other dignitaries remained present in the program
