AGARTALA, July26 (TIWN): To rejuvenate diminishing Culture in Tripura, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Sunday inaugurated the Ila Bhatacharjee memorial auditorium at Matripalli badarghat. Delivering his speech CM Manik Sarkar urged the youths of the present generation to come forward and get known with arts, and culture.
Commemorating the memory of his mother-in-law Ila Bhattacharjee, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar inaugurated the auditorium hall.
AMC Mayor Dr. Prafullajit Sinha presided over the program.
As a part of the inauguration program he also planted sapling in the premises of the auditorium.
Speaking at the inaugural program he spoke on the life history of Ila Bhatacharjee.
Stressing on the importance of culture he said, Culture is the invisible bond which ties people together. It refers to the pattern of human activity. The art, literature, language, and religion of a community represent its culture. Our cultural values and beliefs manifest themselves through our lifestyle.
Our moral values represent our culture. The importance of culture lies in its close association with the ways of thinking and living. Differences in cultures have led to diversity in the people from different parts of the world, and hence it is very important to promote our culture.
Culture is related to the development of our attitude. Our cultural values influence how we approach living. Culture is the ultimate system of social control where people monitor their own standards and behavior. Our cultural values serve as the founding principles of our life. They shape our thinking, behavior, and personality, added Sarkar.
However, Power and Urban Development minister Manik Dey, MP Jharna Das Baidya, Samar Chakraborty Deputy Mayor AMC, along with other dignitaries remained present in the program.
