Agartala, Aug 13, (TIWN) At least 13 new blocks and four Nagar Panchayats are coming up in the state. Decentralizing the entire administration is the main aim, behind this Cabinet decision.

 Chief Minister Manik Sarkar in a press meet informed in detail about this decision of the Government. Moreover, few more scheme related decisions were also briefed by the Chief Minister, last Tuesday.

Providing houses to BPL houseless families, giving bi-cycle to BPL category girl students reading in Class IX – XII are two of the schemes declared.

The Chief Minister also said that the cabinet decided for extension of Agartala Municipal Council, in order to provide civic amenities to the sub-urban people adjacent to the AMC area in a more effective manner.
