KHOWAI, July 25 (TIWN): In a bizarre incident one died in a road mishap when dashed by a maruti car at Khowai Ampura Bazzar, under Khowai police station on Friday late night.

The deceased is identified as Shakti debbarma (25), son of Bishu Kumar Debbarma resident of Sudrai bari. 

The incident took place on Friday late night on when the deceased Shakti debbarma was walking along the long near the 9bn TSR camp at Ampura Bazaar and the maruti car dashed him on the spot and flees away.

The accused is not yet identified and is absconding. However getting alarm the crew members of Khowai fire service station and Khowai police reached the spot and rescued him from the spot and rushed him to Khowai district hospital.

Talking to the eye-witness Khowai police have discovered that due to reckless driving by maruti driver on his part has hit shakti while trying to over take another vehicle from the opposite direction and had lead to this massive accident.

Police is suspecting that the maruti driver was in drunken condition and losing control over the brakes he has hit Sakti Debbarma and left him seriously injured in the road side.

The accident occurred due to rash and negligent driving on the part of the driver of the marurti vehicle informed the eye-witnesses. 

Doctor Subrata Debbarma confirmed that he has grievous injuries in his body especially in his brain and there least chance of his survival.

Finally on Saturday early morning, he breathes his last in the hospital bed.

Talking to the deceased younger brother Binode Debbarma, police discovered that the deceased was seriously injured and was left in a critical condition after the accident.

However, after primary investigation and post mortem the body will be handed over to the family members of the deceased and Khowai police is further investigating the case.
