CM urges teachers to play active towards quality education in schools

KAILASAHAR, July 25 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Friday urged the teachers to play active towards imparting quality education in schools. He said, “A section of school teachers simply plays inactive role and leaves no opportunity for imparting better education to the school children.” However Sarkar had urged those teachers to eye forward filling the gap of quality education in schools.

Sarkar was addressing at Kailasahar during the inauguration programme of teachers’ training institute built with a cost of Rs. 15 crore to impart training to the teachers.

44 per cent of the teachers are still untrained here in the state amongst which 39.15 per cent are the total teachers and the rest 6500 are the teachers being inducted at Sarba Shiksha Abhiyan, said Education Minister Tapan Chakroborty attending the programme on Friday.

Sarkar addressing the programme had urged the teachers to put the best effort towards imparting quality education in schools and colleges in view of the future of the present generation youths and students.

“In an effort at achieving excellence in school education and ending disparity between the students and the teachers the teachers who are still backtracked from imparting better education should play active towards the same,” Sarkar said.

Sarkar also said that the teachers should not only reflect their teaching skill to the students but also should try to trace the real entity behind the bad scoring by the students in the examination. “This would help the students as well as the teachers to improve their skills towards education and teachings,” sarkar said.

Besides addressing the programme Minister Tapan Chakroborty said that at present there are a total of 4 District Institute for Educational Training (DIET) colleges, but another 4 would be built up soon which is aimed to impart diploma level courses.

Earlier all the private institutions were asked to open the B.Ed College, following which the authority had taken certain steps towards it, said Chakroborty.

 

However, at present there are 100 students at the newly built training institution who would get degree courses. The state government has been looking forward to get a capacity in the institution for at least 150 students in the next financial year.
