KHOWAI, July 25 (TIWN): In a bizarre incident, four people were critically injured after an Alto car collided with an Indica at Kalabagan and Tulashikhar road under Champahour Police Station on Friday evening.

The injured has been identified as Shakti Debbarma who is the driver of the Alto car. The other three are the passengers and the driver of the Indica, namely Prasanta Debbarma (28) who was the driver the Indica car and is the owner of the car.

The other two who were sitting at the backside are Saurab Debbarma (45) and Gulap Bami Debbarma (45). After the incident the injured were taken to the Tulashikhar Primary Health Centre. The driver of the Alto car was admitted to the GB hospital.

The passengers including the owner of the Indica has been discharged after being treated at the PHC.

After investigation police have found that the driver of the Alto car bearing the registration number TR01-AL-0302 was in drunken condition when he was driving. Both the vehicles have been seized by the police of Champahour Police station.

The Indica car was bearing the registration number TR-06-0358.

The incident terrified the local of the area. Specifying the incident the locals said that the incident happen in the evening when there is less rush of vehicles on the road. The authorities would be more strict with the drivers so that they do not drink and drive and does not injure the pedestrians and other vehicle riders, said a local.

If in the less crowded place a mishap can occur than during the office time the list of accidents will get high.

However, police is further investigating the case.
