CM holds review meeting at his constituency

AGARTALA/SONAMURA, July 22(TIWN): With the aim to develop the rural areas and to improve the facility of basic amenities of life, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Wednesday held a review meeting at his own constituency Dhanpur after a span of 6 months.

The meeting was held at Kathalia Block conference hall.

Addressing the meet, Minister Manik Sarkar said that this meeting mainly aims for the development of several section including Education, health and Electricity.  It also aims for the social and economic development of the rural areas.

Minister Manik Sarkar further said development of education in youth is necessary as it aims to support young people to increase their awareness and understanding, challenges perceptions of the world and encourages young people to act for a more just and equal society at a national and an international level.

The meeting also held discussions on rural livelihoods that can be enhanced through effective participation of rural people and rural communities in the management of their own social, economic and environmental objectives by empowering people in rural areas, particularly women and youth.

Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is also scheduled to evaluate all the development progress work of Dhanpur Constituency.  Initiatives to be adopted for the development of electricity connection to the rural areas including measures should also be adopted for providing pure drinking water facility.

Speaking at the meeting Chief Minister Manik Sarkar further discussed on the possibilities which can be adopted for the development of the basic amenities in the area including Electricity facility, Health service and Education and urged all the administrative officials of the department to finish all the development projects in the given time.

It is to be mention here that in the last review meeting CM Manik Sarkar expressed displeasure over the progress of the development projects in the area.

Rules and regulations, crime against women, theft cases are on high alert in the area and sources confirmed that the meeting also discussed on this issues.

Apart Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is also scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the 2 storey hospital adjacent to Chalam hospital at Dhanpur.
