 Belonia college robbery case, no arrest

BELONIA, July 22 (TIWN): All together 30 ceiling fan are being stolen from the science building of Belonia Isharchandra Vidyasagar College. However, a mystery goes around with the theft case as neither the lock of the door nor the window pane is broken as there is no sign of any damage in the building. Police is suspecting that the theft case is carried out by some known person of the college as no one knows when the theft case occurred and when the fans were stolen from the building.

Reportedly, the issue of theft case came forward when on Tuesday evening the guard of the building opened the gate of the science building for installing some computer systems in the building. When the guard opened the door he discovered that the fan of the building is missing along a big music system.

Getting alarm, Amio Kumar Pan, Principal of Belonia Isharchandra Vidyasagar College reached to the spot and also informed the Belonia police.

Following the complaint, Belonia Police station OC Swapan Sarkar along with SDPO Sudip Pal and 2nd officer Nandan Vaidya reached the spot and investigated the building of the area.

A police official said that the building robbery took place under the cover of darkness. Taking advantage of the darkness, the robbers executed their plan and stolen the fan. The official further said that the heist was a well thought out plan as the robbers came equipped with all the tools required to carry out the robbery. 

Interrogating with the principal of the college, police discovered that no administrative official of the college is aware about when the theft case occurred as most of the time the building of the college remains closed and is being opened on special occasion.

After preliminary investigation it was found that there are two separate keys for the building one is with the Accountant of the college and the other one keeps on rotating from the person to person on the basis of their needs. Accordingly police has also interrogated the accountant of the college and so far no proper information is revealed regarding the theft case of the college.

Police officer however claimed that the theft case is conducted by some known person of the college as there is no evidence of any damage in the door by which thieve could have enter the building.

However, Belonia College principal has lodged a complaint with the Belonia Police station and police is further investigating the case.
