  DSO State Committee demanded to improve the education system

AGARTALA, July 20 (TIWN): All India DSO Tripura State Committee on Monday demanded to resume the pass-fail practice at the school till class 8 and also to improve the education system in the college and school level so that the student can get good advantage of the education at a press conference held at SUCI office.

All India DSO Vice-President Gopal Sahu said that the semester system in the college level should be cancelled and demanded to enforce honours subject in all the courses.

Increase in course fees will not be accepted any more, said Sahu. All kinds of necessary initiatives should be taken by the Central as well as State Government to improve the education system including keen eye to the infrastructure growth in the state.

The committee also demanded to provide stipend to the poor children and also to provide necessary books from the library. With an aim to provide necessary books on time so that the needy students can get it on time the concern authority should always keep stock of good book in to the library.

The schools and colleges should appoint required number of teachers or faculties so that the students should not face any kind of harassment regarding their study matters.

The education system in the state should avoid privatization and should provide education avoiding the business mentality. The schools and colleges should purely based on education and honestly guide the students as they are the future of the state.

They further demanded that while providing education and knowledge the schools and colleges must not focus on Cast and community and should treat all the students equally.

They also complained that due to the enforcement of the semester system in the colleges the fees structure hiked due to which the poor student’s remains deprived from the higher education.
