Review -meet held at Tulashikhar Block

KHOWAI, July 19 (TIWN): Tribal Welfare Minister Aghore Debbarma on a recently held review meet organized by BAC at Tulashikhar block, announced various project works which have been successfully done by the govt. and the further planning for new works in the financial year 2015-16 along with the estimated costs to be sanctioned for them.

According to the review meet, whether in the last financial year the total working day of MGNREGA was in total 85 days, in this year it has been 5. 48 days.  

Moreover, in the last year among 190 families had been provided with sanitations for which in total Rs. 58, 99,000 had been invested. And in this year more 74 sanitations would be added for which Rs. 54,99,000 has also been sanctioned.

 The BDO of Tulashikhar Block said during the meet that in Hemanta Smrity Primary health centre Rs. 4, 38, 500 has been invested to provide an ambulance. Moreover, already 3 market stalls’ construction work is to kick off soon.

The bordering areas in total 5 works have started for the up gradation of that place which includes: setting of 3 tube wells in Bhati Moydaan Para and Melaka Bari, a gallery to be made in Behala Bari H.S. School, barak to be made in the BOPs of Gumsing Bari and Asharam Bari for BSF jawans. For this purpose it will be needed Rs. 36, 90, 000, said BDO.

Talking to the officials of Agriculture it had been known that in the FY of 2014-15 a large progress had been brought in the field of Agriculture. In total 389 Hector of land have made usable for agriculture. Roads have also been made of 7 km, and by metal carpeting of 5.45 km. More 187 localities have brought with the availability of drinking water facilities.

Dignitaries as N. Darlong, DM Khowai; Madhumati Debbrama, MDC Gurupada Debbarma, BAC chairman were present during the meet.
