 One died in a road mishap at Udaipur

UDAIPUR, July 18 (TIWN): Road mishap claimed one at Udaipur Bonduar area on Saturday morning and left one critically injured when a Suzuki motor bike head on collided with BSF 48th bn vehicle.

The deceased is identified as Nabajit Sarkar 22 and a pillion rider Raj Kumar Das 23 resident of Udaipur Rangamatia area is left critically injured and is undergoing treatment at AGMC hospital.

The accident took place when the Suzuki motor bike bearing number TR02A7566 was heading towards Udaipur from Amarpur and head on collided with BSF 48th bn vehicle at Banduar. The eye-witness stated that the accident took place due to the reckless driving by the BSF vehicle driver on his part and losing control over the brakes the BSF driver hit the bike.

When the BSF vehicle had hit the bike both the bike riders Nabajit Sarkar and pillion rider Raj Kumar Das skidded to different parts of the streets and was seriously injured. The front part of the bike was massively squeezed when the BSF vehicle hit the bike.

Getting alarm the R.K. Pur police reached the spot and immediately rushed the injured to the Gomati district hospital.

Police has also ceased the BSF vehicle and has lodged a complaint.

However, after preliminary treatment the doctors of the Gomati district hospital referred the injured to AGMC hospital for better treatment. However, the doctors said Nabajit Sharma died with dreadful injury in his brain and other parts of the body and there is also least chance for the survival of the pillion rider Raj Kumar Das, as he has also received grievous injury in his spinal cord and head.

However, police is further investigating the case.
