Website for Tripura Trisnha wild life sanctuary launched

BELONIA, July 18 (TIWN): With an aim to provide instant information about the Trishna Wild life sanctuary, the South district Zilla Parishaed Sabhadipoti Himangshu Roy on Saturday launched a website for Trishna wildlife Sanctuary and Bison National park at Rajnagar Forest guest house.

Zilla parishaed sabhadipoti Himangshu Roy has inaugurated the website by a pressing a mouse button.

Today on a single click of mouse one can know about the Trishna wild life sanctuary by surfing the website www.trishnawls.com. , said Roy. 

Addressing the program Roy further said, this is an Internet era and people spend their most of their time in the internet. This initiative is taken to provide instant information to the tourist regarding the Trisnha wild life sanctuary on a single click of mouse. 

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony MLA Sudhon Das further said that the introduction of the online website for Trishna Wild life sanctuary will manage to eliminate distance and provide people with a unique opportunity to know about the beauty of the park.

 Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary is well known for the varied floral and faunal biodiversity and Indian Bison (gaur) is one of the major attraction here especially for the visitors. Few years back sighting a bison in wild, for the tourists, was very difficult due to dense forest cover and lack of grass land for the gaur.

Initiatives were taken to develop grass land for the gaur population with a sole objective to promote wildlife tourism and to attract tourists, which is otherwise very much required for income generation for the local in habitat.

Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary and Bison National Park is situated in the southern proximity of the state of Tripura bordering Bangladesh. Trishna was declared as the second largest Sanctuary of the State on the 16th of December, 1988 over an area of 194.708 Sq. km and the.

Later on during 2007 on the 7th of November an area of 31.63 Sq. Km was declared as Bison National Park. The Sanctuary and Bison National Park is well known for Indian Bison locally known as Gaur, the only surviving population of Gaur in the state. The Sanctuary also supports of viable population of Holook Gibbon, Spectacle Languor’s, slow loris, Pig Tailed Macaque.

However, MLA Sudon Das, Zilla parishaed sabhadipoti Himangshu Roy, Wild life warden Animesh Das along with other dignitaries remained present in the program.
