AGARTALA, July 17 (TIWN): At last Tripura police failed to crack the sensational murder case of Pritam Majumder following which the family members on Friday met Chief Minister Manik Sarkar seeking justice to the murder of their son Pritam. However following the direction of CM, the family members had later met the Director General of Police (DGP) at police headquarter.

Replying to the demand of the Pritam’s family members DGP on Friday said that the entire case would be now handed over with the CID police.

Meeting with the family members of the deceased Pritam Majumder, CM confirmed that one Bikash Biswas who is currently residing at Kolkata was found engaged to corruption and he is an accused person.

The confirmation has come up after Pritam’s family members said that Bikash is an uncle of accused Suchishmita who was arrested on charge of killing Pritam.

However, later CM talking to the family members had called the police headquarter immediately and asked to hand over the case with the CID as the state police had so far failed to bring development to the case.

Besides, on yet another sensational report unearthed recently the West PS police had allegedly threatened deceased Pritam’s father not to lodge any complaint further with the police station in return of Rs. 20 lakh.

On the day of their first marriage anniversary, Pritam was allegedly murdered. Locals said that Pritam used to live with his wife Suchismita in a rented house, right after their marriage due to family problems.

“My son was never happy since he married that girl. She never let him live peacefully. She is having extra-marital affair and used to pressurize him to give her a divorce,” the deceased’s father said.
