AGARTALA, July 17 (TIWN): Agartala Govt. Medical College (AGMC) is appeared to be the centre of state sponsored cheating institution. Tripura is the only state where government does hoax leasing out the interest of the people of the state just to remain in power.

Students of Agartala Govt. Medical College (AGMC) have been annoyed with the teaching quality of the college. The Doctors who are considered to be the backbone of health service in Tripura and who are going to be the sentinels of health service in coming days are appeared to be the half taught or zero taught Doctors due to inadequate faculties.

All 20 departments of AMC have been suffering from vacancy in the top level for a long time. But the state government is less bothered to take initiatives to fill the post. Even the eligible doctors who are working as Associate and Assistant Professors have not been elevated to top post despite having their eligibility.

The medical college is running with them since the beginning but when the issues of promotion and status come, the state government turn eyes rather preferred to make adhoc arrangement with outsiders who are not bother about the development of AGMC .

Besides, when the Medical Council of India inspectors visited the state to inspect the college, the state government contractually had brought professors from outside the state and exhibited them in front of the inspectors. This time in Anesthesiology department a doctor was brought from ILS hospital to show him as college faculty.

However, the state government offers Rs. 94, 000 for the vacant post in the AMC. But according to the doctors the amount is very low to continue with the post. This amount can be withdrawn within few days of prescribing or doing treatment of the patients in their chambers and the hospitals.

According to the doctors the amount is very merge. The existing professors who are involved with the teaching profession in the college cannot take the classes properly as they had to invigilate the patients in the hospital. Therefore, it becomes hectic for them to maintain both the things at a time and the student of the college who are the sentinels of the health service are remaining half taught.

However, this situation is continuing in the various departments of the Medical College including Medicine cardiology and others.
