KAMALPUR, July 17 (TIWN): More than a month passed after the tragic incident of Bijoy Deb’s mysterious death at police lock-up of Kamalpur Police station. The incident occurred on 5th June night last got out of memory of probably all strata of the society. The two-fold investigations got subsided apparently in both the Magisterial and CID probe. What might be the result still remained in dark. And the political hurly-burly and leaders’ hyperactivity subsided. The family of Bijoy got busy in struggling hard to cope with the basic necessities to survive.

The saga of Bijoy’s family became nothing better than other families that suffered police atrocities. Although the State government ordered for both magisterial and CID probes into the matter- none hoped for any punishment of the concerned officials as it remained as an imperial trend in the state police. The political leaders of Congress and BJP who promised a lot of assurances and assured to whirl the world for justice to Bijoy’s family got vanished. Only the local Congress leadership remained in constant touch with the bereaved and struggling family. It remained very inadequate for the family to live a healthy life. The media in their quest of hotcakes also forgot about the family. And most importantly, BJP Tripura in-charge Sunil Deodhar who promised most firmly to struggle for the family even at national level numbed up completely after the bye-election got over. His party and then local leaders dreaming of capturing power in the State in 2018 next hardly found any scope to be with the family. And being behind the curtain and far far away from the dreamy world of political propaganda, the family of Bijoy admitted their plights and sufferings like many lots of the State.

Probably, amidst the luxurious and lucrative political arena of Maharashtra and Delhi, Sunil forgot about the family he once met with at a place named Kamalpur!
