KAMALPUR, July 17 (TIWN): Helpless situation has approached to a retired teacher named of Kamalpur namely Jaharlal Deb when he went to withdraw money from ATM branch at Kamalpur. Reportedly, his money had been trapped in the ATM machine due to some mechanical faults. But when he took the matter to the bank authorities, he received totally unsatisfactory behavior from Kamalpur UBI branch.
He alleged that the treatment he received from the bank authority in last seven or eight days made him believe that, his money got lost.
According to that teacher, on 29th June last he withdrew 10, 000 rupees from his UBI account with the ATM card from the counter of the UCO bank. But the money did not come out. He immediately contacted with the UCO bank authority and the bank authority assured him of sending his money to the UBI head office as per regulation. When he contacted with the UBI Kamalpur branch authority, they also assured him of getting the money very soon in his account. But till date he has not received the money.
He went to the bank several times but had to return in empty hands. When he tried to contact the higher up officials of UBI to lodge complaint, he found the contact numbers provided in the board are not working.
He desperately sought the intervention of top brass of UBI to remedy the issue and to make the branch authority more customer-friendly.
