However, public toilets to be built at Narsingarh bazaar, Durga Chowmuhani, Mahatma Gandhi Smriti H.S. The total numbers of toilet lists along with the location for building up the toilets has already been sent to the court.

Reportedly, in 2014 One Soma Das, 35, a government teacher in Phulcherrri senior basic school in Kamalpur subdivision of Dhalai district, had written a letter in Bengali to Chief Justice Gupta on July 19, 2014, apprising him of the problems faced by women visitors to the state capital because of lack of adequate public toilets.

In the hearing, the Agartala Municipal Corporation authority said that there was lack of space in the capital for building new toilets, and the state government advocated backed the argument.

However, the judges expressed dissatisfaction over the replies, saying they were not acceptable, as so many new buildings were coming up in the state capital.

However, this initiative by AMC is taken for improving heath by providing sanitary toilets and promoting their use among the public. However, this initiative of AMC has attached importance to public hygiene sanitation.  If the construction is taken seriously it will be very helpful for the people and equally the quality sanitation will be maintained in the city.
