AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): Adequate amount of LPG bulk has reached at Agartala recently which is expected to cut the crisis of the LPG cooking gas cylinders. A total of 23 trucks carrying the cylinders reached at Bishalgarh gas bottling plant.

According to the source, maximum of the LPG bulks have been already dispatched to the several gas agencies in and around Agartala. However, only 10 bulks of LPG cylinders are remained with the Bishalgarh gas bottling plant. The rest of the bulk will be distributed within next few days.

The shortage of LPG cylinders in the state is expected to be neutralized by the supply of LPG cooking cylinders in the state.

The sources further claimed that maximum of the LPG cooking cylinders comes to the state from the Arab countries and due to Ramzan period the workers remained off their work due to the festival. However, the crisis of LPG cylinders had hit the state resulting panic among the consumers.

However, to cut the crisis of the cooking gas in the state a total of 23 trucks carrying the cylinders reached at Bishalgarh gas bottling plant and the cylinders are also dispatched to the related gas agencies.

It is to be mentioned here that women in kitchens, particularly those who use LPG supplied by Indian Oil Corporation, were going through a nerve-wracking time over the last many months. All this while, the LPG delivery time has hit the state due to the crisis. LPG crisis has led to many kitchens running out of gas and scouring for alternatives.

Reportedly, the state need over 1, 72,535 cylinders every month. The total number of gas agencies is being increased to 46. In such position, the two LPG bottling plants at Bishalgarh and Kalagachhia in West Tripura district were unable to cope with the rising demand for LPG cylinders. As a result, a huge backlog has been created all over the state for over two months. However, with the fresh arrival of LPG bulk at Bishalgarh bottling plant, it is expected that the crisis will come an end for the time being.
