SANTIRBAZAR, July 14 (TIWN): Allegations have come against the local Panchayat for depriving a person from getting a BPL card since last 15 years, although he belongs to a BPL family. The person has been identified as Haradhan Das resident of Para under undivided Bokafa RD, bearing the Ration Card NO.1017 along with six members in his family.
The matter came under notice, when Haradhan Das wanted to bring back his ROR certificate from West Charakbai Gram Panchayat. Despite, he is getting facility as an APL card holder, he came to know that he would actually belongs to a BPL card holder family having an IAY house.
It is matter of concern that since 15 years he is not getting BPL facilities. People are raising question over this issue after this incident .According to source there are few corrupted leaders behind this type of heinous act.
It’s to be mentioned that on the other hand, Tripura Govt is trying to Digitize PDS Operations to Prevent Fake BPL Cards and alsoplanning to digitize the operations of its Public Distribution System (PDS) to eliminate duplicate and bogus ration cards. But report says that Tripura government has so far collected over one crore rupees as fine from fake Below Poverty Line (BPL) card holders and cancelled over 7,000 bogus BPL cards held by families.
Earlier Bhanu Lal Saha has also said that Central Government has approved a scheme to cover digitization of ration cards and other databases, supply-chain management, setting up of transparency portal and grievance redress mechanism on cost sharing basis with different states like Tripura.
Now Haradhan Das and his family already raise question who will give justice of 15 years loss.
