KAMALPUR, July 14 (TIWN): The mass transfer of all the officers of Kamalpur police station after TIWN’s revealing of bribery-raj made the deprived depositors of Noagaon branch post office in small savings scheme suspicious of the fate of the investigation from the part of the police. To enquire about the future of the investigation, a delegation of the deprived depositors met the investigating officer Jainal Hussain the day before. But the officer could assure them nothing about the case but to contact with the O.C.

Almost three months earlier a huge embezzlement of almost 10, 00, 000 rupees came to light in Small Savings scheme at Noagaon branch post office. It created a huge turmoil among the depositors and demand raised to remedy the matter.

The depositors who were mostly BPL categories became completely hopeless and demanded their deposited money back. Department of Posts appointed one Zakir Hussain, Inspector for probing into the matter.

Further a case was also filed with the Kamalpur Police Station in which S.I. Jainal Hussain was appointed as investigating officer. But nothing could bear any result.

In the meanwhile, TIWN revealed the prevailing bribery-raj in the Kamalpur police station. And all the officers including the O.C. were transferred as a result. Then the deprived beneficiaries went to meet the officer to know about their fate. But the officer could not give them any assure.
