Deplorable condition of primary school ruins education

UDAIPUR, July 14 (TIWN): The infrastructure of the Lalgiri Uccho Buniyadi Vidyalay under Amarpur sub-division has been running in pathetic condition for prolonged days, confirmed school in-charge. The school lacks the key amenities and proper infrastructure, she added.

She said that the poor condition of the school has become a proof of the negligence of the administration in providing education which is the basic rights of every children of state.

Neither the district administration, nor the state education authorities are paying attention to the basic requirements of this primary school, complained the school in-charge. She said that she had complained for several times regarding the poor condition of school but till day no initiatives has been taken yet.

This Government Primary School under Amarpur sub-division has no proper building for the students and the roofs are badly damaged. There are several other problems in this primary school like lack in proper infrastructure, added.

She further complained that the school also lacks proper furniture in classrooms and acute shortage of teaching staffs. The school does not even have the facility of proper sanitation and clean drinking water.

During rainy season the water runs in to the class rooms which hamper the education of the students, said school in-charge.

The school was inaugurated in the year 1962.

“The government must put keen eyes on the education sector and should take revolutionary steps to improve it. The primary education sector needs to be standardized according to modern education system”, said the school in-charge.

Though, the State Education department had drawn up several plans and policies to make the state 100 percent literate, but they are failing to achieve their targets and goals due to lack of attention to the education sector.

The government is spending a large amount of budget in providing free education to the poor and needy but what these kids are getting is of no use.
