UDAIPUR, July 11 (TIWN): Union Telecom Minister Ravi Sankar Prasad, who is on one day visit in Tripura, visited the famous Tripureswari Mandir on Saturday afternoon at around 1:30 pm where he offered prayers to Mata Tripura Sundari.
DM of Gomati Sonal Goel, SDM Ajit Debnath, SP Gomati Prabir Majumder and others welcomed him amidst tight security.
The Union Telecom Minister is then scheduled to inaugurate the 3rd International Gateway of Internet in India here in Agatala during his one day’s visit to the state. The 3rd international gateway of internet after Mumbai and Chennai which will be a boon for the internet, undertaken the responsibility by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Bangladesh Government. After Mumbai and Chennai, Tripura will be the 3rd international gateway of internet which will be a boon for the internet service in the entire north east circle.
During the visit in Tripureswari Mandir, Union Telecom Minister walked across the temple and visited the Shiv Mandir. He further walked to the Kalyan Sagar and enjoyed the beauty of the temple witnessing the fishes and tortoises of the pond.
While interacting with the reporters of the state, Union Telecom Minister expressed prolonged desire to visit Tripura and to enjoy the beauty.
Undertaken the responsibility by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Bangladesh Government, the ambitious project will benefit this north eastern part of India more than any other place as the region will get the much needed fillip to enrich the internet service.
