KHOWAI, July 11 (TIWN): Witnessing an increase in illegal infiltration in to the state and smuggling of narcotics along the border areas of Khowai and the other areas, a 5 members’ team of DYFI on Saturday placed a deputation to Police Super of Khowai District.

The members placed the deputation after they had staged a rally against the Khowai police and assembled near the Police Super office.

The police have assured that the illicit act of smuggling will not continue further, they will keep a keen eye over the rampant smuggling and will ensure the safety of the youth.

While placing the deputation to Police Super Ratiranjan Debnath, a very strange thing has been noticed that the Police Super stood up to receive the deputation from the 5 member team of DYFI, said a member.

The team also complained that though various illegal infiltrations rampant over the city including smuggling of narcotics and other unsocial activities, the police of the area are not taking any initiatives to bring an end to the activities.

The deputation was against the unrestrained drug trafficking in Manipur which has the potentials to imperil future generations in the state.

They stressed over the issue that the drugs are very dangerous seeing that once a person is hit by drugs abuse then he or she has to lead a painful life.

According to the team, it is most likely that several top officials of the state are being engrossed in drug trafficking but are often turned out to be incompetent to arrest the culprits and to stop the illicit trafficking in the area.

Drugs, amphetamine, cannabis plant, cocaine, ephedrine, ganja, hashish, heroin, ketamine, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), acetic anhydride soaring business fueling politicians to policeman's pockets in every part of Tripura. 

Tripura's insurgent groups like NLFT to Bangldeshi Jihadi terrorist groups HUJI are involved in cross-border narcotics production, smuggling of drugs in an organized manner to finance their anti-national activity.
