AGARTALA July 11 (TIWN): Union Telecom Minister Ravi Sankar Prasad is all set to launch the 3rd International Gateway of Internet in India here in Agatala on Saturday during his one day’s visit to the state. The 3rd international gateway of internet after Mumbai and Chennai will be a boon for the internet service in the entire north east circle, which is so far been paralyzed by low quality internet service. Undertaken the responsibility by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Bangladesh Government, the ambitious project will benefit this north eastern part of India more than any other place as the region will get the much needed fillip to enrich the internet service. India’s BSNL will receive 10 Gbps from Bangladesh’s lone submarine cable company, Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL) at the cost of Rs. 8 crores per year.Meanwhile, Union Minister Ravi Sankar Prasad is expected to talk to the BJP state unit and to take stock of the situation after the recent attacks on the BJP supporters throughout the state. It may be mentioned here that the BJP state unit’s ambitious plant to dethrone the corrupt Manik Sarkar regime is facing stiff challenges from the CPI-M cadres under the directives of Melarmath’s CPI-M bosses.

Tripura will be connected with the 10Gbps internet connectivity by the unspent internet bandwidth of Bangladesh. The agreement was signed off during the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the neighbouring country in the first week of June last.

The recent attack on BJP’s parental organization RSS by CPI-M cadres with full support from the state police machinery and Manik Sarkar’s Home Ministry is not taken easily by the BJP bosses in Delhi and the Union Telecom Minister has been asked to get the first hand information of the situation of the Marxist ruled state, says a BJP source in Delhi.

The RSS too is organizing a protest rally in the capital city Agartala against the attack on the RSS workers by the CPI-M cadres and the organization will start the rally from the same Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan of Agartala where the Union Telecom Minister is about to launch the Internet Service’s facelift program in the evening, and after marching through various parts of the capital city  the RSS workers and the supporters will again assemble in the same venue where the gathering will be addressed by the organisation’s regional heads alongwith All India heads.
