BELONIA, July 11 (TIWN): Another 3 accused have been arrested and sent to the court for allegedly involved in Sandhya Borua Das’s case and court sent them for 14 days JC. However, Sandhya Roy Borua’s case (Case No. 13/2015) seems in slow progress, with the inactiveness of Belonia Women Police Station’s police force.

Despite, an embarrassing incident occurred  on July 6, when Sandhya had been tortured by a gang of women on July 6, by tying her with a lamp post along making her unclad, still police is doing unfair with the investigation process, sources informed.

Still most of the accused are roaming openly and out all the accused, only 6 have been arrested. Source says, 2 women who had not been arrested although the complaint had been launched against them, belong to the family  of Shantu Das, elected Panchayat member of ruling party and police as being puppets of the ruling party  are not arresting these persons namely Gita Das and Rita Das.

On 7th July, 3 women namely Sumitra Das, Archana das and Khuku Rani Das sent to the SDJM court on afternoon in the allegation for harassing the woman and court had sent them to suffer JC, and on July 10 another 3 have been joined them in jail, namely Mamata Debanth, Kanika Denath and Moroni Debnath.

Talking to TIWN Belonia Women Police said that the others are hiding themselves and thus they are out of the reach of police. But according to the sources, the rest of the accused ladies are roaming openly after doing this vile crime.

The actual event took place on July 6 afternoon, when Sumitra Datta along with few other gangs of women brutally beaten up Sandhya Barua Das twice, after tying her with a lamp-post in allegation of having an illicit relationship with Rajiv Datta, the husband of Sumitra Datta.

Such incidents are increasing day by day in the state, where the actual guilty doesn’t suffer, but the women has to suffer by other women of the society. This increasing crime is repeating again and again as on July 8 a women namely Lanoukhon Halam (25) of  kailashahar had been burnt with acid attack by another women Geeta Halam for a very similar reason where Lanoukhon Halam had left injured with 80 percent burnt on her body.

However, these increasing crimes need to be tackled immediately, otherwise a new genre of crime where “women attacking women” will be come out.
