AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): The youths of different sub-divisions of Tripura have cracked the whip on CPI (M) party workers and supporters, who either ransacked or locked down party offices and residences of local leaders to protest deprivation of employment in 8 posts recently.

Amidst when Tripura is suffering from serious issue of unemployment crisis, resentment brewed upon unemployed youths of Jatanbari against the ruling Govt. for its continuous violation of recruitment policy, while distributing employment.

Tripura is a state with a population not exceeding 32 lakh but it has vast numbers of unemployed youth.

According to the sources, 8 posts have been filled up recently as light-men in Power department at Jatan Bari. Some youths of Jatanbari were waiting for their offer letter of this particular job, but surprisingly when the job offer was released, not a single post had been found as reserved for the Jatan Bari locals. Moreover, all the 8 posts were distributed to the people of Korbok, which is a different sub-division.

Concerning, the 8 posts of light-man which have been awarded to the youths of Korbuk sub-division by the ruling govt. triggered anger among the youth of several other areas including the youths of Mohanpur, khowai and Teliamura.

The youths with this protest showed the power of “common-people”, added a local. For more than a few hours no-one was allowed to step into the party office at Jatanbari. Recently, chaos erupted when CPI-M Party office was locked by jobless youth at Jatanbari.

At last to save the rapport of the party, the CPI-M cadres sat with them and assured them to find a solution for it, but everyone is aware of the fact that that after releasing jobs it cannot be taken back; unless it knocks the door of Court. It proves that the party leaders are trying to fool them, alleged an agitated youth.

Depriving the local people and intentional distribution employment to other district or subdivisions is an undergoing problem of the state. After so many allegation rose against the state govt. for violating the recruitment policy, state govt. is happily performing step motherly attitudes to the youths of the sate and distributing employment as per its wish.

Tripura has third highest unemployed, 2013’s report says. Tripura is a state, which has no proper industry where people can run their livelihood; neither has it had any proper source of income.

In few states people often earn their livelihoods by tourism, but at Tripura all the source of income has been closed with the negligence role of the state govt. So govt. job is left as the only way, but here govt. is engaged to depriving the youths, alleged one of the youth.
