AGARTALA, July 9 (TIWN): Despite several tall claims taken by the Tripura Police to make the city safe for the dwellers, there are continuous reports of murder from different parts of the state and mainly from Agatala city.

Yet in another bizarre incident, two unidentified bodies of middle aged men are recovered from two separate areas of Agartala on Thursday morning.

The duo deceased are not yet identified and the bodies are recovered from Melarmath area adjacent to the pond and the other is recovered from katakhal area under the same police station.

Sources said that few localites of the area spotted the bodies lying on the road side adjacent to Melarmath pond area and Kathakhal area on Thursday early morning and informed at the west police station.

Getting the information, a team of police personnel of west police station rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies. However, police also scrutinize the area but couldn’t discover any relevant evidence from the area related to the murder of the bodies so far.

Police said that sharp injuries were spotted on the bodies of the deceased. Police further said that separate police teams have been constituted to work out the case, and they are in the process of identifying the deceased, added police.

Police is further suspecting that both the murders might have been committed over a heated argument by assailant after consuming liquor.

However, police have sent the bodies to AGMC hospital for postmortem and is further investigating the case.

Agartala, being the capital of the state, has been developing at a rapid pace. This urbanization has also led to certain factors which have a bearing on the crime rate in the city.

Day after day dead bodies are being recovered from several parts of Agartala city and police is silent over this issue. It appears that the duty of police is so far limited to report the murder case and sent the bodies for postmortem. Apart from taking any strict action police is busy in making tall claims in front of the public and fool people around.

Recently police has also failed to unearth whether Pritam was murdered or he had committed suicide, but a deep injury mark on his neck which clearly tales that he was murdered by his wife Suchismita on last week.

Bodies of two children’s were also recovered from a forest at Sabdakumar para of Ratan nagar ADC village under Raishyabari police station of Wednesday late night.

Tripura has become dystopia of crimes where one after other day heinous incident related to murder is reported from every corner and police is simply playing the role silent spectator.
