Kailashahar Blood-bank lacks proper infrastructure, wastage of blood everyday
TIWN

KAILASHAHAR, July 9 (TIWN): Kailashahar blood bank eyes everyday misspend of blood units due to lack of proper freezing system along with other infrastructures.

Everyday through various blood donation camps and independent donators many units of blood are sending to the blood-bank of Kailashahar, but blood bank stuffs have been found to return those blood units, as the they are unable to preserve the blood.

While talking to Dr. P. Mishra he alleged that there are so many modern blood separation processes, by which a blood unit can be transferred to many other persons, but kailashahar blood bank is so far from all these modern technologies.

If this blood bank of this sub-division is recovered, then many units of blood can be preserved everyday, as they already have blood preserving car which can preserve the blood units for 10 hours and thus those units of blood can be carried out to the blood bank of Kailashahar hospital from long distance also.

So if the preservation process and other facilities within blood bank are developed then many unknowing things will also be come out, e.g. in the last month after the blood tastes, in total 5 person’s blood were found affected by HIV virus.

So after all, blood banking is a medical logistic activity. It attempts to bring the potentially life-saving benefits of transfusion to the patients who need them by making blood components available, safe, effective and cheap.

Blood banks try to maximize delivering getting blood from the right donors to the right patients in a timely manner. The easiest way to assure the timely availability of blood is to have an appropriate inventory on the shelf at all times. So for all the the authority would look after the matter as fast as possible, claims the locals as well as the health workers.
