AGARTALA, July 8 (TIWN): Aiming to revitalize the youth organization of the Tripura Pradesh Congress, All India Pradesh Youth Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja is scheduled to arrive in Tripura by morning 9.30 Indigo flights on Wednesday.

However, Raja Babbar was also scheduled to arrive in Tripura on July 9, but due to some unavoidable circumstances of work his visit to the state is cancelled for now.

As per scheduled program, the state youth congress dignitaries will receive IYC president Amarinder Singh Raja from Agartala airport and will take him to Rabindra Bhawan for attending the meeting.

Speaking to TIWN correspondent Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress president Sushanta Choudhury said that the National Youth Congress president would address a one-day long delegate conference at Rabindra Bhawan in Agartala on the day.

Youth leaders from all the blocks of the state would participate in the conference. Choudhury said that the conference would mainly focus on the deprivation of the youths in the different sector of employments and others under the misrule of the Left front government.

Chowdhury said that several corruptions prevailed in the reign of the Left Front government. Among them, Golaghati’s CPI (M) MLA Keshab Debbarma’s case triggered a controversy who misrepresented his education qualification in his affidavits submitted during the last two state Assembly elections.

However, the Youth Congress recently agitated seeking strict action to be taken against him and we will continue our agitation till he gets punishment, Choudhury said. And as a part of this agitation the IYC president Amarinder Singh Raja will also raise his voice against the misrule of ruling government.

Amarinder is the 17th national president of IYC and he associated with IYC as block president. Later, he was promoted to District Youth Congress president in 2008. In 2010, he became national general secretary of IYC.
