AGARTALA, July 7 (TIWN): In order to make technical education easily accessible for all the interested students, a North District Polytechnic Institute will be inaugurated on July 15 at Dharmanagar.
Chief Minister Manik Sarkar will raise the curtain of the inaugural programme of the North District Polytechnic Institute. The inaugural programme of the institute will be presided over by Higher Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty, informed Higher Education Department’s secretary Santanu Das at a preparation meet.
Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Bijita Nath will remain present as Chief Guest. Beside, MLA Subodh Das, and ADC member Rajendra Reang will also remain present at the programme.
The institute will give chance to the native students to get easy accessibility of technical education, within their home town.
At the meet, Sabhadhipati of North Tripura District Council Pratima Das, Chairperson of Dharmanagar Municipal Council Ratna Mahishya Das, Vice-Charperson Swapan Chandan, Jubarajnagar Panchayat Samiti Chairman Samiran Das, Chairperson of Panisagar Panchayat Samiti Sital Das, Panisagar Nagar Panchayat Chairperson Ajit Das, Director of Higher Education Department Biprodas Palit, District Magistrate Santirai Reang and representatives of the three-tier Panchayat were present.
During the meet, a preparation committee was organized, MLA Subodh Das was declared as the president, and Principal in-charge of the institute was declared as the convener of the committee.
