AGARTALA, July 6 (TIWN): The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Monday had sent the accused wife Suchishmita Biswas (Roy) to three days police remand on charge of killing her 22 years old husband Pritam Roy. The incident occurred on Friday morning after the locals of Agartala Palace Compound found Pritam dead at his rented house. The East Agartala police station’s police following this, had arrested the accused wife Suchishmita Roy on Sunday for her alleged involvement in the murder case. At the mean time when the accused wife Suchishmita was produced before the court the family members of Pritam on Monday managed to hit the East Agartala police station seeking justice for the death of their son Pritam Roy. The family members were found scuffled with the concerned police personal. Talking to TIWN in this regard the police said, “The family members were unaware of the development of the case following which they had thronged the police station today seeking stern punishment of the accused.” On being asked about the development of the case which passed at least 80 hours from the day of the incident occurred, Police said, “We are investigating the case and we have already send the post mortem report to Kolkata laboratory for better study of the incident.”

The police also said, “We are unable to unearth whether Pritam was murdered or he had committed suicide, but we found a deep injury mark on his neck which clearly tales that he was murdered.”

It was also mentioned to TIWN that as the court on Monday had sent the accused wife to 3 days police remand the police eye forward to unearth certain clues against Suchishmita.

Demanding for a stern action against the accused wife Suchishmita who allegedly killed her husband Pritam, his family members on Monday threatened the police that if they are unable to take stern action against Suchishmita and her family members they would move for massive protest and it would turn worst later.

Hundreds of locals on Monday thronged the East Agartala Police Station and scuffled with the police personnel.

“Suchismita’s statement appears self contradictory which indicates her hand in the case, said the police. In course of search, police recovered some materials which could be helpful for the investigation process.

On the day of their first marriage anniversary, Pritam was allegedly murdered. Locals said that Pritam used to live with his wife Suchismita at a rented house right after their marriage due to family problem.

“My son was never happy since he married that girl. She never let him live peacefully. She is having extra-marital affair and used to pressurize him to give her a divorce,” the deceased’s father said.

However it is worthy to mention here that even after the passage of at least 4 days the police had failed to unearth whether Pritam was killed or had committed suicide. Police said, “We are investigating the case now and we hope that many positive outputs would come in these three days police remand of Suchishmita.”

Accused wife would be produced before the court again on Wednesday.
