KAMALPUR, July 6 (TIWN): Deprived beneficiaries of Putiacharra NWDPRA scheme gave deputation to the SDM demanding early and stringent action and to arrange for providing the allotted money to the beneficiaries.

After the long silence of the department to remedy the matter, they became bound to knock the SDM in this huge 49, 00, 000 rupees scam. The beneficiaries put four point charter of demand.

The demands included stringent punishment of the implementing officer as well as of the leaders of the Management Committee; to arrange for paying the beneficiaries their allotted money; to unearth the real saga of money gobbling etc. Amidst the scorching heat wave, almost seventy beneficiaries walked in the protest rally. The SDM assured them of early and adequate steps from his part.

It is noteworthy that, almost one and half months earlier, the huge embezzlement of 49, 00, 000 rupees unearthed in the Putiacharra NWDPRA scheme. Then the beneficiaries formed non-political organization named Banchita Beneficiary Oikkamancha ( United Forum of Deprived  Beneficiaries) and started vehement protest.  The department initiated proceedings and investigation in the scam. But till date the investigation bore no significant result.
