AGARTALA, July 5 (TIWN): The members of Indian Association of Physiotherapist (IAP) Tripura Branch and Physiotherapist Forum of Tripura jointly organized a press meet at Press club on Sunday.

Addressing the press meet, IAP president Sabyasachi Chowdhury said that the motive behind holding this press meet is to aware the people that the sports minister has accepted their memorandum regarding the recruitment of Physiotherapist in different sports sectors of Tripura along with schools-level in different parts of Tripura.  

Speaking at the press meet, Chowdhury further said that the different sports associations have already started the recruitment process of physiotherapists.

Number of post for physiotherapists will also be increased in the NHM project, and the job recruitment process in health department has already begun, said President Sabyasachi Chowdhury.

Indian Association Physiotherapist is a registered body in India, with over 30,000 physiotherapists as member of this body. The body is controlled by the board of elected office bearers, which included President, Secretary, Treasurer and various conveyors to monitor various activities of the IAP.

It is to be mentioned here that the World Health Organization (WHO) has already declared that the physiotherapy profession and Ayurveda are two most advanced medical systems for curing the non-communicable diseases in recent era of Health care system, said Chowdhury.
