INPT seeks central nod for ADC empowerment

AGARTALA, July 4 (TIWN): Speaking at the two-day long central committee meeting of INPT (Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra) at press club on Saturday INPT state president Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawl criticized the role of central government over the issue of “Empowerment to ADC”.

Detailing to the issue the INPT State President Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawl said that in the year 2014, they placed a deputation to Home Minister Rajnath Singh for the issue of “Empowerment to ADC”, however, accepting the demand Home Minister Rajnath Singh assured that in the 2015-16 budget session he will make an amendment and will look over the issue of more power to ADC but so far no action is taken, said  Hrangkhawl.

During the meet, the members have discussed about the various action plans to taken up for the up-gradation of the party along with gaining confidence of the supporters in the rural areas.

They also discussed about the proposed programmes of the party and the various organizational issues. They will further finalize necessary programmes to be adopted for the development of the people.

In the meeting they also decided that in this coming December, the 200 delegates’ team of the party will march to Delhi and is schedule to hold 6 hour long mass demonstration at Delhi, raising voice against the poor governance of the left front government.

Further in the meeting it was also decided that amidst several programs, the party is schedule to observe world Janajati day on 9th Augustand all the program will be represented from Agartala.

The party is also scheduled to observe ADC diwas in the state on 23rd August.

Further, in the meeting it was also decided that they will not move into any alliance with any party and will contest the village council election independently.

INPT leaders have conducted this meeting to discuss on the various proposed action plan and to gain the confidence of the people so that they can grab their positions back.

During the meet, President Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawl, General Secretary Jagadish Debbarma, Rajeshya Debbarma, Amiyo Debbarma remained present. Around 220 functionaries were also present on the programme.

It has been expected that necessary directions given to the party leaders with a view to develop party-image will help the party to come up with flying colours.

INPT has acceptability among the tribals because since its inception, the party has been fighting for establishment of rights and talks about the sufferings of the tribal communities. With the conclusion of the party meeting it was decided that in the coming two months amidst of several scheduled programs the party will raise voice against the bad governance of the ruling government and will bring forward the negative vibes of the government posing a threat to the development of the state.
