KAMALPUR, June 30 (TIWN): Within the completion of polling and on the eve of the counting which would surely be the magnificent victory for the CPIM candidate, the notion of ‘golden regime’ staggered here at Jamthum under Surma assembly segment this morning.
Hundreds of locales blocked the Kamalpur-Marachara-Ambassa road to meet their long unfulfilled demands. At last, the administration and political leaders assured the agitators of early remedy and the blockade ended.
The people of Jamthum were long been demanding for facilities like drinking water, electricity and health facilities. The administration and the party leaders till date gave them only assurances. Although, they showed unconditional legacy to the CPIM party for elections after elections, their fate remained the same.
At last they blocked the road for four hours this morning. Receiving the news the administrative officials and party leaders rushed to the spot and pacify them. The agitators warned the authorities of dire consequences if the demands are not met shortly.
