KORBUK/UDAIPUR June 25 (TIWN): Nimna Buniyaadi Vidyalaya, located in Korbuk sub-division at Arayna Kumar area has been facing several problems including shortage of teachers, mid-day-meal, late coming of teachers, shortage of group-D employees and many others for long time.

Despite of several tall claims made by the ministerial bench authority to make the state 100 percent literate turns bleak with the deplorable condition of the schools in various interior parts of the state.

According to the report, it has been found that the education system of  Nimna Buniyaadi Vidyalaya, located in Korbuk sub-division   has been running into poor condition due to lack of teachers. The elementary education which is the major challenge for the State Government has become a matter of joke.

Though the students come to the school to acquire their basic need of education but their time passes waiting for the teachers to take their classes. There are all together 32 students and 3 teachers appointed for the school but neither of the teachers come regularly in the school to conduct the classes.

Our ministers claim that, schools are supposed to be the temples of learning, but the average primary educational institution in rural Tripura are being deprived from proper guidance of the teachers.

As we all know that teachers are the persons who deliver knowledge to the students and also make them learn the basics of the education but the place where there is lack teachers how can the innocent meet their basic needs of education.

The school has been facing acute shortage of teachers and immense irregularities have been found in providing mid-day-meal to the students, said a student.

A section of angry guardians alleged that the teachers do not attend the school regularly while some of the teachers come late in the school. They also alleged that many of the teachers spend time by gossiping without conducting the classes. As a result, the students are not getting proper education only for the negligence of school authority.

True, just having great school infrastructures is not sufficient to improve learning outcomes, but it is certainly a necessary condition. Along with the lack of teachers the schools also facing shortage of basic amenities like chairs, tables are missing from classrooms, now the question arises, where all the money sanctioned from the central fund is going?

The locals alleged that the poor infrastructure of the school is due to the failure to run intervention programmes.

School review committee Sobhadipoti Dinamoni Tripura said that though he has reported the matter to the concerned authority but so far no action is taken for the development of the condition. He further said that the committee has also organized several meetings with the teachers to regularly conduct classes but no fruitful result has come yet.

However, School Inspector for Korbuk Bikram Jamatia said that he will look into the matter and will take the necessary steps in the coming days.
