AGARTALA, June 25 (TIWN): The Tripura Co-operative Agricultural and Rural Development (TCARD) Bank Limited on Wednesdaypresented 45th Annual Report and Balance Sheet with Statement of Accounts of 2014-2015 at Mukta Dhara Cultural Hall.
During the programme, the delegates discussed about the approval of Annual Reports of 2014-2015, including the approval of budget for the year 2015-2016. They further discussed about the approval of OTS Scheme as extended to the chronic defaulters up to March 31, 2015.
Talking to TIWN, General Manager Santi Kumar Das said that from the financial year 2012-2013 the bank has been running under very poor condition resulting scare in the availability of the loan services for the needy people.
Enhancing about the concern problem, General Manager Das expressed that for past 35years National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) used to sanction funds to allot loans to the needy people. But as from the 2013-2014 financial years, the NABARD has discontinued to sanction any amount of fund to the concern bank, besides the authorities hands are bind to provide much loan to the people.
Finance Minister Bhanu Lal Saha also expressed grief on the same issue, hoping the situation would get better in the coming days.
Member of Board of Directors and South Tripura District Sabhadhipati Himanshu Roy and others were also present at the programme.
