The poor condition of the road poses tremendous dangers to pedestrians and dwellers those who live on either side of the road. On many occasions, pedestrians have reportedly been injured with stone chips hitting them, as vehicles pass by.

The carpeting is washed away from the surface of the road exposing potholes and uneven stretches making the journey of motorists unsafe. After the rains that lashed the city, the road has broken and even big holes could be seen which pose serious threat to the vehicles and their drivers, a motorist said.

The Nagerjala to Amtali road via drop gate is one of the busiest roads connecting the areas with other parts of the city and the civic body. Unfortunately, commuters have no option but to travel through this long stretch of jumping road full of potholes and boulders, at times risking their own life, while on other occasions, putting their lives and safety in the hands of the driver.

The two-wheelers face the serious threat during the night, as it becomes merely invisible to mark the pot holes and ditches on the road and when the motor bikes slips in to the pot holes the wheels gets skidded and the rider loses the control over the brakes, resulting accidents.
