BELONIA, June 24 (TIWN): Day long media workshop has been organized at Santirbazar Community hall on Wednesday.

The theme of the day long workshop was ‘Bartalap’ where working journalist of South District and Gomati District has been invited.

The programme was organized by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Agartala Branch. During the programme, Satyabrata Chakraborty, veteran and an eminent journalist of Tripura announced guidelines on the working procedure of journalist and the present and past scenario in the presence of working journalist and other dignitaries.

While addressing the working journalist, the eminent journalist Chakraborty said that earlier being in journalism was a tough work to carry on. But with the help of the advance technology like internet facilities, desktops and many other technical supports has taken the level of journalism at sky high.

He also mentioned that earlier filing news and sending it to the concern organization was hectic for every journalist, as they had to cover long way to submit the filled copy to the concern organization. But today the scenario is vast different, the journalist can take information over the phone and also can deliver the file with the help of internet facility with no time.

Lastly, he urged the entire working journalist group to perform their work with full dedication.

During the programme, SDM Uttam Majumder, PIB Regional Director H. R. Chakraborty and veteran Journalist Swapan Bhattacharjee and others were present at the programme.
